APPLETON, Wis. — Ticks are becoming more common in Wisconsin, and so are illnesses that can result from their bites.
The Outagamie County Public Health Department is now offering free “tick kits” to protect humans and pets.
The kits include insect repellent towelettes, an alcohol prep pad, a bandage, tweezers for removing an embedded tick and a bag in which to put the removed tick.
The kits are available at the Public Health office during regular business hours.
