It all started last night as Slipknot announced and removed the announcement that keyboardist and sampler Craig Jones was no longer in the band. That post (and removal) was followed by another post featuring a new mask. It all happened just before Slipknot kicked off their UK tour with a brand-new member.
Now, the band has shared a cryptic message pushing fans to visit youcantkillme.com. Upon arriving at the site, you’re greeted with a creepy instrumental video for a track called “Death March.”
The video is filled with creepy visuals from the brain of Shawn “Clown” Crahan featuring a bunch of dummies that are marked with the names of the band members and has their heads wrapped in duck tape and bubble wrap. The video ends with all of the dummies lined up in a room against a wall. Each dummy head is blown off one by one until only one head remains at the end, wrapped in a black stocking cap.
Last night, Slipknot took the stage in Austria without Clown, who earlier in the day announced that he would not be touring due to his wife’s health issues, without Craig Jones, and a mysterious new member. The band also played two songs they hadn’t played live in eight years, one they hadn’t played live in seven years, along with the live debut of “Yen” from the 2022 album The End, So Far.
