At this point, it might be a while before Metallica relinquishes the number-one spot for their song “Lux Aeterna.” No one is complaining about that. The rest of the top 21 gets interesting as we see old-school bands making comebacks like Nickelback or Blink-182 plus newer bands like Bad Omens or Dorothy continue to rise. Our only debut this week comes from Architects with their latest single “Tear Gas.”
The California roots rock revival (is that still a thing?) band Rival Sons have been turning heads everywhere they go since their debut in 2011. With their 8th record coming now on June 2nd called Darkfighter featuring “Nobody Wants to Die” they will continue to do just that, and all while doing it on their own terms. Scott Holiday, the guitarist for Rival Sons joined us this week on the countdown and Cutter’s Rockcast.
