Super-groups have usually received mixed reactions. Some are good, The Damned Things, some are bad, Hollywood Vampires, and others are simply great, Killer be Killed. Today we are given a new super group that has the bones to be absolutely fantastic. Founded by guitarist Frank Iero (My Chemical Romance), guitarist Travis Stever (Coheed and Cambria), vocalist Anthony Green (Circa Survive), bassist Tim Payne (Thursday), and drummer Tucker Rule (Thursday) L.S. Dunes is the latest group to be formed.
According to the press release L.S. Dunes won’t rely on the sounds of the groups feature bands but will rather have “super-charge(d) their heavy anthems with punk energy into a sound unlike anything that has come before it.” They will release an album on November 11th entitled “Past Lives”. The first track Permanent Rebellion can be heard below.
