More trippy visuals from Slipknot.
The music video for “Yen” has dropped coming just weeks after the release of the newest single for the nine piece metal act. “Yen” is the third track fans have gotten off of Slipknot’s forthcoming studio album The End, So Far, which is set to be released on September 30th of this year.
The new video appears to be somewhat of a continuation of the music video for “The Dying Song (Time To Sing),” which was released earlier this year in July. Both videos show the same masked, cult-like group standing in a room where some sort of ritual seems to have taken place. Both videos were directed by Clown, and it is not known if this storyline will continue after the “Yen” video.
Also noteworthy, this is just the second time in Slipknot history that Corey Taylor has appeared unmasked in a music video, with the first being 2008’s “Snuff” off of All Hope Is Gone. In “Yen” a fully unmasked and sophisticated Corey Taylor wanders the halls of a mansion while being followed by creepy dark figures. Check out the video below!
