APPLETON, Wis. — The Trout Museum of Art is looking to move out of its current home along College Avenue in Downtown Appleton.
Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region CEO Curt Detjen says the building is starting to show its age.
The Trout wants to build a new museum in the new Ellen Kort Peace Park along the Fox River, but former Appleton Alder Christine Williams opposes that idea.
The Trout wants to enter into negotiations with the city on leasing land in Kort Park to build its new museum.
