The Pretty Reckless have canceled three shows this weekend after singer Taylor Momsen tested positive for COVID-19. The announcement came just one day before the band was set to kick off its co-headlining tour with Halestorm. This past Thursday (July 7), the band put out the following statement on social media.
“Despite our best efforts, COVID finally bit. We could not wait to get back on the road with our friends in Halestorm, but wait we will have to. We’re following CDC guidelines and we’ll be missing this weekend’s shows in Detroit, Milwaukee and Kansas City. We hope to feel better soon and will make it out to the very first venue we can, so stay tuned for real time updates here.”
In addition to the statement above, Momsen also shared a picture of a positive COVID-19 test on her own Instagram with the caption “Yup…FML”. As stated, the band will be missing several shows including their appearance at Summerfest in Milwaukee that was scheduled for this Saturday, July 9th. The show was going to be on the Miller Lite Oasis stage set to start at 10:15PM.
The Pretty Reckless are scheduled to hit Rock Fest in Cadott, WI. on Friday, July 15th. As of right now, that performance will go on as planned.
