Yesterday (May 26), it was announced that Muse would be filling in the vacant headlining spot at this year’s Aftershock festival in Sacramento, California. Originally, Foo Fighters held the fourth headlining spot, but pulled out due to the sad and untimely death of their beloved drummer Taylor Hawkins.
Muse frontman Matt Bellamy voiced his excitement on the upcoming October festival stop.
“It’s been too long and we can’t wait to come back to Northern California and headline Aftershock on Sunday, October 9th in Sacramento.”
Aftershock runs from October 6th through October 9th at Discovery Park in Sacramento. The festival will also feature many top-billing acts such as Slipknot, My Chemical Romance, KISS, Shinedown, Bring Me The Horizon, Rob Zombie, and so much more.

Muse is set to release a new album titled Will Of The People on August 26th of this year. The album will feature the newest single “Compliance,” as well as their wildly popular hit single “Won’t Stand Down.”
