Pop Evil is ready to guide you away from the eye of the storm.
Fresh off of their 2021 album Versatile, which housed two No. 1 tracks in “Breathe Again” and “Survivor,” Pop Evil is back with “Eye of the Storm.” This heavy-hitting song features all of the elements fans would come to expect from a Pop Evil track. Heavy guitar riffs, powerful drums, electronic elements, and vocalist Leigh Kakaty singing hard on an antithetic chorus as well as yelling/rapping in the verses.
With no word on any upcoming albums, it is unknown when or if we will be getting more new flavors from Pop Evil in the near future. For now, we will follow them away from the eye of the storm. Check out the music video below!
On a personal note I have been a fan of Pop Evil from the very beginning. Back in 2008 when I was 8 years old, my father was a member of the Razor staff and he brought me into one of the weekly Razor music meetings to choose one song that I could add to Razor’s playlist for that week. Pop Evil had just sent in their debut single “Hero,” and that happened to be the song that I liked the most, beating out Motley Crue’s “Saints of Los Angeles.”
“Hero” was then added to Razor’s playlist giving Pop Evil their first dose of airplay in Wisconsin and the rest, as they say, is history. I’ve had such a great relationship with the band over the years and it’s been so awesome to watch them grow. 14 years later we have come full circle, and I’m still playing new Pop Evil tracks on Razor. It gets no better than that.
