Are you a parent? Do you have a niece or nephew that is younger than 10? Do you currently occupy space in a world that children exist? If you answered yes to any of those questions you’ve probably encountered a song or three from the new Disney movie Encanto. The song ‘We Don’t Talk About Bruno’ is almost everywhere these days. The Wife and I have watched the movie countless times with DJ Scottie and our other nieces and at this point I’m fairly sure I can quote the whole movie.
The trouble with these Disney songs is a distinct lack of punk influence on them. That changes with this cover! Check it out and next time some kid tries to make fun of you for not knowing a Disney song just whip this one out!
Low key, and don’t tell anyone I said this, Encanto is actually a really good movie and most of the music absolutely slaps. And if you don’t like this song you’re wrong.
