Chris Daughtry is an interesting figure in the rock world. He made his name singing some softer tunes that people wouldn’t associate with Razor but with his new album Dearly Beloved he certainly is back. It was very interesting talking to Chris on how the song ‘Changes Are Coming’ was written.
“…it started with this idea that hit me one day in the car…I was humming it on the way home and I got home and went into my office, or home studio and did a quick demo of what I was hearing and it was that riff right before the chorus…”
We talked about the albums that he listened to, to get in the mood for writing the new songs. Albums like Alice in Chains’ ‘Dirt‘ Soungarden’s ‘Superunkown‘ and many other classic albums.
