The world is getting used to reading the word “postponed” due to the last two years, but this postponement has nothing to do with the ongoing pandemic.
On the evening of Thursday (Jan. 20), Ghost announced on social media that they would not be able to perform on the late night television program “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” as they had previously been scheduled to that night. In a statement on Ghost’s Facebook page, they explained the reason for pulling out just hours before the performance.
“Children of the World! …more specifically those of you who had just started to prep your couches up for tonights’ Jimmy Kimmel Live show. Well, it turned out that we had a bit too much going on in Reno, getting all our shit together for the tour, however – Our good friends at Kimmel offered us to come back and play the show at a later date during our now imminent US tour.”
“So – Cool your jets for today but get ready to rock with us over the coming weeks.”
“Are you ready?”
Ghost’s U.S. arena tour with co-headliners Volbeat and special guests Twin Temple will kick off on January 25 in Reno, Nevada. The tour will be stopping at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee on Sunday, February 20.
Ghost has just recently announced a new album titled Impera, which will be due out on March 11 later this year. The band also just released their new single “Call Me Little Sunshine,” this past Wednesday (Jan. 19) and it will be featured on the upcoming album.
