Republican candidate for Wisconsin governor Rebecca Kleefisch has tested positive for COVID-19.
She was exposed at church earlier this month. Kleefisch launched her campaign on September 9th and hit the campaign trail. Spokesman Alec Zimmerman said she was informed of the exposure on September 16th, took a test and the next day received a positive result. Zimmerman says she was vaccinated earlier this spring and is feeling fine. He notes her upcoming events have been canceled and they’re notifying recent close contacts.
Kleefisch is a cancer survivor and a former two-term lieutenant governor.
