More people are testing positive for the COVID-19 virus.
The seven day average for the positivity rate climbed back to one percent. The Wisconsin Department of Health Services says that metric has climbed slowly but steadily since going as low as 0.7 percent. Health officials have said they want to see the positivity rate below three percent to consider the spread of the virus managed.
According to DHS, testing confirmed 117 new cases in the past 24 hour period. The state is averaging 71 new coronavirus cases per day over the last week, up from a daily average of 69 the day before.
DHS is reporting six more COVID related deaths. But only one of those deaths occurred in the last 30 days. The death toll is 7,314
