Some big changes could be coming to downtown Kaukauna.
The city’s plan commission approved a preliminary design yesterday for a proposed hotel and condo at the intersection of Lawe Street and Wisconsin Avenue. Mayor Tony Penterman says the proposal includes a 67 unit, three story hotel and a 101 unit, five story apartment complex.
The developer is requesting TIF financing from the city as part of the deal. A final vote by the city council is expected in mid-July. If approved, construction could start several weeks later.
