Earlier this year Black Veil Brides announced their new album The Phantom Tomorrow on Cutter’s Rockcast, (video below.) Shortly after that, they made it official. They released a new song and gave it a June 4th release date. During singer Andy Biersack’s conversation with Cutter he went into detail about the concept behind The Phantom Tomorrow and outlined a comic book that would come with it. Andy took to the band’s YouTube channel to announce that they want to release everything at the same time, including vinyl. In order to do that the release date has been pushed back to October.
“As you guys know, the Covid-19 pandemic has affected the production industry on every level. The music industry has been hit hard in the sense that there is a huge delay in manufacturing of things like vinyl records and physical product and other integral pieces to releasing an album. When we finished recording The Phantom Tomorrow, we were so excited about the album that we wanted to get it out as soon as possible and so we set a June 4th release date. We realized pretty quickly that by having that June 4th release date, we would not be able to have vinyl records, other physical media, comic book series – all the things that we had planned for the release.”
In the meantime to tide us over, so far Black Veil Brides have released 2 new songs and videos from the album, including their current top 20 single “Scarlet Cross” and the song “Fields of Bones.”
