Four children and two adults are safe after a house fire in the town of Ellington.
Fire Chief Jim Bentle says crews saw flames coming out of every window and the roof when they arrived around 12 a.m. He thinks the two-story brick house is destroyed.
Bentle says they had to keep two propane tanks cool and power lines were knocked down. The house on Conradt Road, south of Shiocton was a dead end street and Bentle says it was difficult getting trucks to the scene. The cause is under investigation but doesn’t appear to be suspicious.
