In the mid 90’s hardcore world there may not have been a more “wear your heart on your sleeve” band than Brooklyn’s Life of Agony. Severe depression was quite literally the muse for their legendary debut album River Runs Red. Later drug use became the muse and eventually lead singer Mina Caputo’s gender transition. Through it all they are still here and still writing and releasing new music. Their story is, for lack of a better term, hardcore. There was even a moment in time where Mina suddenly left the band at the height of their popularity and Ugly Kid Joe singer Whitfield Crane has to fill in on a tour that included a stop at old Ryan’s Ballroom in Combined Locks.
Starting April 16th there will be a two week window to stream the movie along with a Q&A with the band and the director along with other bonus material. All proceeds from these live streams will benefit the National Suicide Prevention Hotline and All Out which supports LGBTQ+ charities.
