Another 83 Wisconsinites have died from COVID-related causes. That is the second-highest single-day number yet–behind only Tuesday–and brings the statewide death toll to 2,876. Waupaca, Outagamie, and Fond du Lac counties all reported three deaths. Brown County had two–while Calumet County recorded one death.
The Department of Health Services reports another 6,440 new cases–which is down from Friday’s record number. Thirty-three percent of all tests came back positive. All but one county in the state–Green County–are listed as “critically high”.
Brown County saw 256 new cases. Outagamie County had 162. Winnebago County added 131 and Calumet County reported 45 new cases.
