UW System will require student testing to go home for Thanksgiving

U-W System students will have to complete a series of coronavirus tests if they plan to leave campus for Thanksgiving. A memo from System President Tommy Thompson to chancellors calls for students to be tested before they leave for the holiday weekend–and then twice before they are allowed to return after the break. Students who fail to get those tests will not be allowed back on campus. Some U-W schools had planned to go to all virtual learning between Thanksgiving and Christmas break.
