The Winnebago County Board tables a rule change that would have given the county health officer the power to enforce general public health orders during a pandemic.
A number of board members were upset that an amended version of the rule wasn’t sent to them until yesterday.
The vote to table the measure came after more than four hours of public comment and board debate. The board will take up the issue again next month.
