The state’s alternate care facility at State Fair Park in West Allis has its first patient. A person recovering from COVID-19 was transferred to the facility today. The A-C-F opened on October 14th–as the state began to see a surge in coronavirus cases and hospitalizations. The facility is set up to treat those that are close to full recovery and require minimal care–thereby opening a hospital bed for more serious cases.
