State Department of Health Services Secretary Andrea Palm reports COVID-19 cases are rising rapidly among all age groups across Wisconsin.
She says there’s “intense community spread.” She thinks it’s time for the state to get back on the right track, through the use of the capacity limit, mask rule, and other steps local public health agencies are taking.
Palm says they’ve been working since the spring to put together surge plans for hospitals, and build up testing and contact tracing. She says now they’re having trouble keeping up, and they’re in danger of being overwhelmed.
