For the second time in three days, the state set a single-day record for new confirmed coronavirus cases.
The state is reporting 2,892 more cases, up slightly from Thursday’s previous high of 2,887.
Of all new test results, 20.5 percent were positive.
There are 24,035 active cases, and that’s 1,030 more. One month ago, there were 7,393 active cases.
Hospitals are treating 82 new COVID-19 patients, and a record 692 overall. Another 176 are waiting for test results.
Nineteen more people died, bringing the total number of confirmed deaths to 1,372.
Brown County has 376 new cases, Winnebago 210, Outagamie 144, and Calumet 70.
Oconto added 68, Manitowoc 67, Shawano 59, Fond du Lac 51, and Waupaca 40.
Kewaunee has 34 more, Waushara 20, and Green Lake 13.
