Last week Smith & Myers, the new side band from Brent Smith and Zach Myers of Shinedown, announced that Smith & Myers Volume 2 will be available on October 23rd. At the same time, they released their cover of Billie Eilish’s “Bad Guy” along with their new original song “Bad At Love”.
Now the duo has debuted the music video for “Bad Guy” which can be seen below. The video shows Smith and Myers recording the song in the studio.
Smith & Myers Volume 1 will be released on October 9th followed two weeks later by Smith & Myers Volume 2. Both albums will have five covers and five original tracks from the Shinedown duo. In addition to “Bad Guy” and “Bad At Love”, which will be on Volume 2, they have also released “Not Mad Enough” (Smith & Myers original) and a cover of Neil Young’s “Rockin’ In The Free World” off of Volume 1. The other three songs and the track list can be seen below.
The other songs that the duo cover are Post Malone’s “Better Now”, INXS’s “Never Tear Us Apart”, Mark Ronson and Amy Winehouse’s “Valerie”, and The Righteous Brothers’ “Unchained Melody” on Smith & Myers Volume 1. On Smith & Myers Volume 2 they will also cover will be Oasis’s “Don’t Look Back In Anger,” Peter Gabriel’s “Sledgehammer,” Billy Idol’s “Rebel Yell,” and R.E.M.’s “Losing My Religion”.
