Governor Evers doubts there would be much fallout from the potential release of the names of businesses with at least two COVID-19 cases.
A media outlet filed an open records request for the list of places that were investigated by the state Department of Health Services.
Evers tells Josh Dukelow on Fresh Take releasing that information to the public isn’t the biggest issue facing Wisconsin right now. He doesn’t want to say people are overreacting, but he believes they need to focus on making sure people are safe.
Several business groups are suing to stop the release of the list. A Waukesha County judge blocked the Evers administration from releasing it until at least next week.
