Governor Evers is calling on people to stay home, like they did in the spring, because of the jump in coronavirus cases.
He says right now, people can’t live like things are the way they used be, and they can’t afford to act like it’s business as usual. The governor says they have to get back to the basics in fighting the virus.
Evers says people should cancel their play dates and dinner parties. He says they should hang out with friends virtually, and only head out if it’s necessary. Evers is calling on everyone to wear a mask, and practice social distancing, when they leave their home.
The governor reports the state Supreme Court’s decision in May that threw out his “safer at home” order severely limits what statewide actions he can take right now.
