For the second time in eight days, the state set a record for most confirmed coronavirus cases in a single day.
There are 2,817 new cases. It’s also the third straight day with more than 2,000.
The state is reporting 22.4 percent of tests came back positive. The seven-day average is up to 17.2 percent.
The state has 18,252 active cases, and that’s 1,082 more. The total has jumped by 79 percent in the past 14 days. There have now been 113,645 confirmed cases overall.
Hospitals are treating a record 543 COVID-19 patients, including 79 new ones. Another 194 are waiting for test results.
Seven more people died, and the overall total of confirmed deaths is up to 1,281.
Brown County has 279 more cases, Outagamie 222, Winnebago 190, and Calumet 93.
Oconto added 61, Fond du Lac 60, Shawano 59, and Manitowoc 51.
Kewaunee has 30 new cases, Waupaca 24, Green Lake 17, and Waushara 11.
