Governor Evers says Republican leaders need to step up and wear masks, to set an example for their supporters.
Evers says he’s seen pictures of GOP fundraising events with 40 to 50 people, and not a single person was wearing a mask. He says the state is in a “new and dangerous phase” of the pandemic.
While college students returning to school is a big reason for the spike, Evers says campuses aren’t in a bubble, and the spread can impact an entire community.
