Alter Bridge has created a follow-up album to Walk The Sky. The new EP Walk The Sky 2.0 will include a new song called “Last Rites” and will be released on November 6th. Bandmembers Myles Kennedy, Mark Tremonti, Brian Marshall, and Scott Phillips wrote, recorded, and completed the new track while in lockdown due to COVID-19.
The EP will be made up of the new song, “Last Rites”, and live versions of “Wouldn’t You Rather”, “Pay No Mind”, “Native Son”, “Godspeed”, “In The Deep”, and “Dying Light”.
Alter Bridge also released the official music video for their latest single “Native Son” which is an animated short created completely using stop-animation techniques and incorporating origami to create a unique visual effect. It starts by following a dark figure set in a prairie farmland setting, the character struggles to survive as that backdrop then morphs and gives way to industrialization and a city overtaking the original landscape. The visuals echo the lyrical sentiment: “I’m a native son in a foreign land. I’m just living in a world I can’t understand.”
