“Death By Rock And Roll” has been the number one rock song in the county for three weeks in a row. Now, The Pretty Reckless has made a stripped down, acoustic version of the song. Their upcoming album with the same name, Death By Rock And Roll, has been pushed back to a 2021 release, but no official date has been announced. Both the acoustic version and the the lyric video for the original version of “Death By Rock And Roll” can be seen below.

Last weekend, The Pretty Reckless’ Taylor Momsen hooked up with Alain Johannes (Eleven, Queens Of The Stone Age, Them Crooked Vultures, Chris Cornell) to cover Chris Cornell’s song “The Keeper” for the Morrison Hotel Gallery’s (De)Tour virtual music festival which featured featured an all-star lineup of artists working with with MusiCares, National Independent Venue Association (NIVA), and Spotify to support of fellow artists, crew members, and independent venues and promoters. That video can be seen below.
In an interview with Cutter and Kaytie at the end of May, TPR frontwoman Taylor Momsen spoke about how the album got her through a really dark time in her life and genuinely saved her life:
“We had some tough times. We’ve had quite a few hits in the past few years and I went kinda down. Not to get too detailed here, but I went pretty down with the loss of so many friends, into depression, and it really took, not to sound cliche but it’s true… music saved my life again. It was writing and making this record that really pulled me out of that depression and this record is really a reflection of that. “
