Down announced that they are going to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their debut album, Nola, with a livestream on August 29th that they are calling Quarter Century Throwdown. During the show they will play the album in its entirety and 10% of the ticket proceeds to benefit United Houma Nation. The Phil Anselmo lead band said:
“Down was a simple band started by friends with a love of heavy music and the songs on the Nola album were magic from the first rehearsal. We’re extremely grateful to be celebrating the Nola record with a live stream that the world can see. Watch the show and plug in through your loudest stereo! We love y’all!”
The event promises to be a high-production, multi-camera event using cutting-edge streaming technology to create a one-of-a-kind virtual concert experience that will start at 5 p.m. CST on August 29th. The show will be rebroadcast on August 30th at 5 p.m. CST until September 1 at 5 p.m. CST. Each ticket for the livestream costs $9.
