Metallica announced that they will broadcast a concert on August, 29th to hundreds of drive-in and outdoor movie theaters across the United States and Canada. The show will also include a special guest performance by Three Days Grace, filmed exclusively for this event.
The show will be played at the Field Of Scenes Drive-In in Freedom, starting at 8:40 P.M. with tickets going on sale on August 14th. One concert ticket will admit one carload of fans, allowing up to six people to enjoy the show at the drive-in. Tickets will also include four downloads of the upcoming S&M2 album.
Drummer Lars Ulrich said that they will will record a live show at a secret location and then send the footage to their team of editors, mixing the show for a “kick ass” product.
