The homeless in Oshkosh don’t have as many places to escape the summer heat because of COVID-19.
Day By Day Warming Shelter Executive Director Molly Yatso Butz says libraries and other community spaces aren’t available.
The shelter did expand its hours during the summer. The homeless can use computers, and receive services that other agencies used to provide before the pandemic.
Day by Day is also seeing some new clients, and there are concerns the need might increase.
