From Ashes To New released a new version of “Scars That I’m Hiding” featuring vocals from Anders Fridén of In Flames. The updated track was created for the film The Retaliators from Better Noise Films, which comes out in October. The song is the latest edition to be added to the The Retaliators Original Motion Picture Soundtrack but only the version without Fridén’s vocals will be on From Ashes To New’s upcoming album Panic, which will be released on August 28th.
The video for “Scars That I’m Hiding” can be seen below and contains footage from upcoming horror film, The Retaliators, mixed in with shots of the band and Fridén.
The film revolves around a single father and local pastor, John Bishop (Michael Lombardi; “Rescue Me”) who serves as a righteous role model for his faithful flock and his two daughters. When tragedy strikes, detective Jed Sawyer (Marc Menchaca, “Ozark”) offers him a secret chance for vengeance, forcing not only a reckoning with himself, but the unleashing of a terrifying underground horror. The Retaliators will have guest appearances from members of From Ashes To New along with Jacoby Shaddix, Mötley Crüe‘s Tommy Lee, along with members of The Hu, Five Finger Death Punch, Ice Nine Kills, and Escape The Fate.
