Mastodon debuted their new single “Fallen Torches” featuring Neurosis‘ Scott Kelly. The song was originally scheduled to be released in early 2019 but that never happened due to some complications that arose. The track will be a part of Mastodon’s Medium Rarities album which will come out on September 11th with a pink vinyl 2LP pressing available later, on October 16th.
Medium Rarities contains several songs that were a part of other albums and will include several covers, instrumental tracks, and a few live songs as well. “Atlanta” is from their Adult Swim Singles release featuring Butthole Surfers‘ Gibby Haynes. “Cut You Up With A Linoleum Knife” comes off of the Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters soundtrack. Mastodon has also recorded a song titled “Rufus Lives,” which will not be part of this album but will be included in the upcoming Bill & Ted Face The Music movie and on the film’s official soundtrack.
