Metallica has released two songs off the upcoming S&M2 album, which was announced to be available on August 28th. The announcement video, which can be seen below, says the album will be released on digital and streaming platforms, as well as CD, vinyl, and DVD and Blu-Ray editions. There will also be two different box sets. The exclusive super deluxe box set runs for $299.99 will only have 500 copies, and includes collectible items such as real sheet music used during the concert that is signed by the band. The album can be pre-ordered from Metallica’s website.
Metallica didn’t just release the announcement video though. They also shared their performances of “All Within My Hands” and “Nothing Else Matters”. Both of those videos can be seen below.
Metallica performed with the San Francisco Symphony on September 6th and 8th in 2019 at the Chase Center in San Francisco. S&M2 will feature songs from those concerts. This is the first time that Metallica has reunited with the symphony since the 1999 live S&M album, and 40,000 fans came out to see the three hour performances over the two nights.
