Byzantine frontman/guitarist Chris “OJ” Ojeda has been releasing cover songs while quarantined and his latest has him playing Metallica‘s “The Shortest Straw” with Five Finger Death Punch’s Chris Kael taking care of vocals and bass, Phil Demmel of Vio-lence and ex- Machine Head on lead guitar, Bad Wolves’ Doc Coyle on rhythm guitar, and Mike Portnoy from The Winery Dogs, Metal Allegiance, ex-Dream Theater on drums.
Ojeda said that he and Chris are old friends and have discussed working on something over the past few years. When he mentioned a Metallica cover, he said that Kael jumped at the chance.
