The number of overdose deaths in Oshkosh is seeing a sharp increase in 2020.
Police Chief Dean Smith says the deaths have extended through all segments of the city. Smith is not sure of the main reason for the overdose increase but believes stress caused by the pandemic and the economic shutdown are certainly factors.
