It’s been almost a month since the “safer at home” order ended, and state is following whether businesses are opening again.
Missy Hughes of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation says they can see if companies are making credit card sales, and more businesses are reporting them.
Hughes says she initially saw reports that upwards of 20 to 30 percent of businesses were concerned they wouldn’t be able to reopen. She’s also hearing more might not make it, if there’s a second wave in the fall, and places have to shut down again.
