A downtown Appleton group that puts on events like the Farm Market and the summer concerts is looking to raise money.
Appleton Downtown Incorporated Executive Director Jennifer Stephany says they’re losing revenue they count on to balance their budget. She says at least they can have a down-sized Farm Market, but they’re missing out on the arts and craft vendors.
Stephany says they’re also losing the money they get from running the arts and crafts vendor portion of Octoberfest.
The campaign is called “Downtown Unites.” Some of the donations will go toward a new mural in the 100 block of S. Appleton Street.
