ThedaCare is taking steps to avoid a potential loss of $70 million for the year, because of the pandemic.
The health care provider is cutting pay for executive leaders, supervisors and doctors for the rest of 2020.
ThedaCare’s president, Dr. Imran Andrabi says their plan doesn’t include mass layoffs, and it will reduce the overall loss to $30 million.
He’s cutting his total compensation by 50 percent.
Andrabi reporting a 40 percent drop in revenue in April, while they suspended nonessential procedures, and prepared for COVID-19 patients.
ThedaCare says the American Hospital Association projects $202 billion in losses for U.S. Hospitals and health systems over the past four months.
