Shots were fired in Green Bay last night as protesters gathered to call for change after the death in Minneapolis of George Floyd.
Video shows a police officer kneeling on the man’s neck during an arrest. Shots were fired around 10 p.m. near the corner of Walnut Avenue and Monroe Street. A Marathon gas station was looted. Hundreds gathered in Green Bay on Saturday and Sunday and most of the protests were peaceful. Police Chief Andrew Smith walked with and talked with protesters yesterday afternoon. Smith says what he sees in the George Floyd video is not proper police procedures. Protests were also held Sunday in Oshkosh and in Fond du Lac.
