Calumet County’s health officer is hearing concerns about a race track that hosted hundreds of people at events last weekend.
Gravity Park USA is on the north side of Chilton, and there were three nights of races, with little social distancing in the crowd.
Health Officer Bonnie Kolbe says there aren’t any public health orders in place. But she stresses even if one person in a group of 10 has coronavirus, it can spread to all of them.
Kolbe says she’s been consistent with her recommendation that no more than 50 people be at a place at the same time, so no mass gatherings. She says Gravity Park USA didn’t reach out to her, before holding the races.
She says there were complaints about parking around the track, and those are the only rules they can look at.
There are more races scheduled tonight and tomorrow.
A post on Gravity Park’s Facebook page last week asked people to practice social distancing, and stay with their groups.
