Local governments will share $200 million in federal funding to help pay for their response to coronavirus.
Governor Evers announced the money will be divided among counties, cities, towns, and villages, based on population. He thinks they’ll need more, and he’s asking the federal government to provide it.
Outagamie County will receive just over $3 million, Winnebago nearly $2.8 million, Brown $4.3 million, and Calumet $862,000.
Appleton is getting $1.2 million, and Oshkosh will receive almost $1.2 million. About $1.7 million is heading to Green Bay.
The smallest communities in the state will get at least $5,000.
