The bankrupt owners of the Menominee Nation Arena are suing the federal Small Business Administration.
Fox Valley Pro Basketball claims it’s discriminatory that bankrupt companies aren’t allowed to apply for the Paycheck Protection Program. Fox Valley applied for $330,000 in forgivable loans to continue payroll while the arena was shut down.
They argue their re-organization plan is put at risk by the total loss of income, and the denial of the federal funding.
A federal judge in Milwaukee is scheduling a hearing for July 15th.
