The virtual Appleton Memorial Day remembrance ceremony will have many traditional elements the annual parade has had.
Committee Chair Corey Otis says they wanted to make sure of that. He says they’ll have speeches from several people, including some high school students from the Appleton district.
They’ll end in their traditional way, with a rifle salute and taps from a bugler.
But Otis says a performance by the Navy Band Great Lakes will add something new. The group put together a recorded version of the national anthem. He says they’ll also have a barbershop quartet sing “God Bless America.”
You can watch the program on the WHBY Facebook page, starting at 10:15 a.m. Monday.
