The City of Algoma is cancelling all of its major public events for the entire summer.
Chamber of Commerce officials say they won’t hold Shanty Days, the City-Wide Garage Sale or Concerts in the Park.
They say they don’t feel comfortable asking local businesses to sponsor those events, because of the economic impact of the pandemic.
