A poll shows 69 percent in the state support closing businesses and schools and restricting public gatherings because of coronavirus.
The Marquette Law School found 26 percent think it was an overreaction.
Poll Director Charles Franklin says there was more support in March. Eighty-six percent said it was appropriate and 10 percent said it was an over-reaction.
He says there was very little polarization by party in March, on that question. But now, Franklin says more than 40 percent of Republicans oppose the “safer at home” rules.
Sixty-four percent approve of how Governor Evers is handling the response to the pandemic and 32 percent disapprove.
With President Trump, 44 percent approve and 51 percent disapprove.
