The pandemic is leading to a big jump in virtual doctor visits.
Dr. John Newman of Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh says they had a goal of doing 25,000 of them this year, before coronavirus forced them to adapt. Now, he says they’ve already held more than 50,000.
Newman thinks they’ll have to decide whether that’s an optimal way to practice medicine. If they’re going to make changes, he wants to make sure they’re for the better.
Dr. John Leschke of Ascension’s Mercy Campus in Oshkosh says their patients are reporting high levels of satisfaction with virtual visits.
